Does anyone have experience with signet ring cell. My husband had palliative surgery 2 years ago and was unfortunately his cancer has returned. I was wondering if anyone was aware of any trials in the UK for signet ring cell. Thanks

You ask about your husband joining a clinical trial. We are often asked about trials and we usually suggest that when people are interested in joining one that they discuss this with their specialist as they are often aware of trials that are going on.
We have information about taking part in trials and a clinical trials database on our website, which you can look at. This lists the trials that we are aware of and have permission to put on the website. When I had a look I couldn't see any trials for your husband's cancer. It can be harder to find a trial when you have a rare cancer as it can be difficult to recruit enough patients to make a trial meaningful.
Although our organisation help to fund trials, we are not directly involved in recruiting people to participate in them. This is done by the doctors and nurses working at the hospitals involved in running the trials and a medical referral is required for anyone to be considered.
