  • Hello and thanks for posting.

We can't really tell you exactly what may be happening as we aren't part of your hospital team. What we can say is it can take a while for things to get better after surgery, the tissues or nerves can feel uncomfortable when they are healing.

It's always good to update your team to let them know how you are doing and check this pain with them. I wonder when you have an appointment coming up or if you have contact details of a specialist nurse (CNS) that you could call. They can then decide if you need to be reviewed again or if a different medication is needed.

Take care, and I know you have asked our other forum users but do remember their experiences are going to be individual to them. If you want to talk anything through you may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Yours sincerely,

    Sarah.
