  • Yes one day at a time once he gets home ,some good nutritious food that he enjoys a few months of recovery some nice sunshine and he'll be good to go ,and your fishing trip sounds so good to look forward to and spur Ronnie on ,he's had a tough time you both have ,hopefully better days are ahead you both deserve it .

  • Quick note he might be home tomorrow if the bloods come back OK. Will let you know

    Sylvia

  • That's really good news ,fingers crossed for you yes let us know please

  • I would like to know if there is anyone out there that as had a kidney drainage bag and if they have had it taken out and a ureter stent put in in place of it and how long the kidney bag was in for because of fluid retention round the kidney.

Please let me know ASAP thankyou

With regards from Sylvia, Ronnies wife

  • He isn't home today he still has a temperature and the left kidney is still not working right. They have put him on an 8 hour liquid  drip as he is dehydrated he is going for a scan tomorrow. I left him very upset and he wouldn't eat his dinner tonight. He is worse know than when he went into hospital. Everything they have done to him has gone wrong. I am just bewildered how all this know and all we have had to go through all last year  still hasn't been put right. Feel very upset and let down by the NHS.

  • I'm so sorry to hear this he must be fed up with everything that's happening  no wonder he doesn't want to eat ,it does make you wonder what's going on and why they haven't been able to sort him out after all this time ,I really feel for you both its very draining ,but tomorrows another day Sylvia lets see what happens and what they find out it could all change again tomorrow if his temperature goes down and they can find out from the scan what's stopping the kidney from working right ,here's hoping you get some good news .

  • Hi Sylvia

Sam has had a similar experience to Ron in terms of a constant up and down experience. In our case it has been infection and on off trips to hospital . It is frustrating but hopefully they will find out what is wrong with him. We get bad news and good news almost continually.  Sam is still in hospital and the latest is ascites which is water retention and a side drain. It is a battle bur I feel that they are continually looking at her case and trying to find solutions. I really hope that your docs are doing the same for Ron. Best wishes. Mike

  • Ronnie has covid. but there letting me see him. He has been moved to another ward. They said i could go see him in the new ward. I tested myself when i got home but i was clear. He is going for a CT scan today.
