Hello,
After a routine mammogram i was recalled as calcification was found in both breasts.
After a magnified mammogram they were happy with right breast but wanted to biopsy left.
On monday I went for results and doctor said biopsy all fine and not to worry. She did say that the team would meet Wednesday to discuss my case and I might possibly get a call back.
Yesterday I had a call to say that although the biopsy was fine, there wasn't any calcification in it and they want to do a vacuum biopsy. I feel so confused that one minute I was told all was fine and now I need another one done.
They have said from the start its likely benign and she said that again last night but the original biopsy took so long and they were so confident it was the right place. The doctor also said that on Monday and said the metal marker was in the correct place etc.
Is this usual? I have severe health anxiety and my mum died from breast cancer and I'm so upset that I feel like I can't cope going through this again.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
