Unfortunately, I can't give you a clear answer, as the consultant needs to expand on the initial explanation.

Sometimes though, women are found to have breast hyperplasia, which is an overgrowth of cells, which can be abnormal but not cancer.

Depending on the type of hyperplasia, surgery, and/or monitoring is suggested.

Thank you fpr ypur reply. The letter I received said epithelial cells in my nipple discharge smear. Are these normal?
