Hi, the only advice i can offer you is deffo see your gp.
I recently found a lump and was referred to the breast clinic. I won't sugar coat it I was petrified and the worst 2 weeks of my life. But my lump was glandular tissue and at this point nothing to be concerned about. Chances are this could be the same for you. But always best to get new lumps checked by your gp :)
Hello and thank you for your enquiry.
I’m sorry you are worried about a lump in your armpit and can understand you wanting to find out more.I'm afraid we are unable to diagnose or tell anyone if anything is the matter. Lumps are often blocked skin glands. But only a doctor can make a medical assessment so we always encourage people to make an appointment see their GP if their symptoms are persisting. Doctors are trained to assess symptoms and can arrange tests if they feel it’s necessary to try to find out what might be going on. Most of the time there is a straightforward explanation, but it makes sense to get checked out for peace of mind.
I hope you know more about your situation soon. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Vanda
