Long thin lump on my right testicle

Hi, a while ago, I noticed what feels something like a swollen vein on my testicle. It extends from one side of my testi to the other and is quite thin. The lump is hard and painless. I have not noticed any growth. Also, I occasionally get a dull aching pain in my groin above the testicle. My right testicle is also larger than my left. I am growing concerned about this and would appreciate any information or guidance you could give on the subject.

Thanks

  • Hello and thank you for your enquiry. I was sorry to read that you are worried about your testicle.

We always advise that when you have concerns about your testicle, to make an appointment with your GP who can advise you further, and hopefully reassure you. They will refer you for an ultrasound scan if they think this is necessary.

Most testicle lumps and bumps are easily explained, and are not anything serious. Testicular cancer is in fact very uncommon.

There is some useful information on the NHS websites on what testicles should feel and look like here

    www.nhs.uk/.../

and there is information on testicle lumps and swellings at this link

I hope you find this helpful.

    Kind regards,

    Vanda

  • I found similar thing In my right testicle it's right near the bottom of the testicles. It's like a line and sometimes it feels soo small and  other times it feels slightly bigger (idk if the is just in my head)  thought it was one of the viens in my balls but its slightly more pretruding I don't think it is.

Also my left ball feels more firmer than the one with the limp by a decent amount

  • Hello Mancity132,

Vanda's information for Jakeda32 applies to you too.  the best thing to do is to get your GP to have a look at it, and possibly look at the information on the links Vanda posted.  But remember most testicular lumps turn out not to be cancer, so although it is good to get these things checked out try not to worry too much.
