HRT and bleeding

Hi all, looking for a little bit of guidance if possible. I am 53 and thought I was menopausal as haven't had periods for 10 months. Due to associated menopausal symptoms, I was prescribed HRT. 4 weeks down the line and I've been bleeding for 10 days. Not sure if it's the hrt or something else. Wondering if anyone else had the same experience.

    Vaginal bleeding can be a side effect from taking HRT and you can read more about this on the NHS website here.

    This usually settles down after a few weeks. But if it persists or you are bleeding heavily then it's important to discuss this with your GP. They may recommend you switching to a different way of taking HRT, or changing or lowering your dose.
