Hi everyone, I hope this is a place where I can share my experience and perhaps be offered some advice, I don’t expect a diagnosis but rather some guidance I guess. *sorry for the long post*

I’m 23 years old and up until now my periods have usually been regular, don’t get me wrong they are almost always super heavy and cause severe cramping but they usually show up on the same date every month and last 7 days. This month however, has been completely different.. I got my period as usual at the beginning of the month however this time it was much lighter than usual and only lasted around 5 days, the bleeding stopped for a week and then came again but this time is much much heavier and has now been going on for 20 days and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. From time to time I experience sharp pains in my back and pain in my lower abdomen which may just be cramping but I’m not sure. I have googled bleeding inbetween periods and all that seems to come back at me is the C word! I’m terrified and feel sick to my stomach. I would just like to know if anyone has ever experienced anything similar? Or any suggestions on what this may be, thanks in advance. X
