Calprotectin

I have Diverticular Disease, previousley had a colostomy and ileostomy, both reversed. I have undergone many extensive surgerys and recently had a lot of issues. 9 Blood tests since june 2022, always very low iron levels, not anaemia, calprotectin x 2 in 3 months both abnormal. I was sent for a colonoscopy, 4 biopsies was taken . I did ask if they could see any evidence of crohns or colitus, he said no. I am now being urgently refered to gastro as I am having issues eating cooked food and have being living off snacks but now I am having issues with pain, constipation and loose stools. I am maintaining weight but in pain and for the first time my LFT are affeced. I am concerned because hey gave me an appointment for March 2023, but said they are going to push it forward. I am a a loss to what is going on and what it could be. My GP feels its Crohns or UC.

Any advice what be appreciated as I feel something is going on in my body, I am a NHS worker and we are the worse paients but I am at a loss

Thank you

Sally
