You will see that it is inserted into your mouth and goes to the back of throat area before going into your oesophagus, then into your stomach. There is a camera at the end of the scope so it will show the whole journey of the gastroscope.
When you are in the clinic room, where it will be carried out, you will have an opportunity to ask any questions about what will be seen.
