Irregular bleeding can be caused by a range of things ( including stress) so try not to over think things too much for now.

There is information about some of these causes here but our advice is always to see your GP if symptoms are ongoing so they can assess you and arrange some tests if needed, just to be on the safe side.

If you have had a polyp before it is possible to have another later down the line but of course if your doctor examines you they can check this for you.
