when u had the needle biopsy how was it? I'm dreading it if I'm honest also how was the operation? Iv been told I have to have whole of thyroid out

mum ok thanks the scan was ok apart from the feeling I was wetting my self lol the side effect of the dye they put in,

havnt got a date yet for the biopsy that I'm not looking forward to at all

I found the needle biopsy to be fine a bit like an injection so please don't worry abou to that.

Had yet another visit to hospital on Fri as I'd seen GP over hearing difficulties in one ear so was sent to ENT. After tests there is no reason as to why, all they said was there could be a possibility it's due to nerve damage during op and should sort itself out over time.

Just waiting for my dates to have radioiodine treatment so another stay in hospital to look forward to as they won't do it as a day case.

Onwards and upwards and take care.

I really don't no how I'm feeling any more, Iv just been left hanging not knowing what's going on, I had a bad experience last week with the dr and nurse who was doing the FNA in my thyroid, they spoke about me if I wasn't there! The nurse even said 1 of the nodule or glands is cancer but used another word, dr wasn't botherd I was there and more happend then dr refused to do the biopsy she said it would come bk inconclusive! So now Iv been assigned a nurse (key worker) she's lovely and reported what had happend and got my another appointment for the biopsy and the dr couldn't be any nicer to me and professional, I could have got all the results last Friday if it wasn't for that dr refusing! Now hopfuly I get results this Thursday, but on top of all my feelings I'm now thinking it's the worst cos I have been assigned a nurse, just feel like giving up and telling them to forget everything

I don't know if this helps but someone I work with got a letter from macmillan and a phone call assigned nurse after a camera appointment but she was a cancer nurse assigned to her but she hasn't cancer just needs more tests as they think muscles in bowel  hope you have a big smile   thur xx

Oh really so she has been assigned due to her health issues and tests? That does make me feel a bit better thank you, thank you fingers crossed it's all good Thursday, sorry for moaning I find it hard to talk and let out emotions etc
