Lump of my testicle

Hi guys, I have had a lump on my testicle for about 12 years now and its has been causing me discomfort over the years, I have felt embarrassed  to go and get it checked out before now but I feel I need to do it now, am really worried as I think it might be testicle cancer , I should have got it seen to all those years ago but I just felt embarrassed, with me leaving it until now to get it seen to will I lose my life if it does turn out to be cancer, and can you help me on what to do now to get it checked out please, thank you.

  • Hello and thank you for your enquiry. I was sorry to read that you are worried about your testicle.

    We always advise that when you have concerns about your testicles, to make an appointment with your GP who can advise you further, and hopefully reassure you. They will take a history, and examine you, and refer you for an ultrasound scan if they think this is necessary. 

    Most testicle lumps and bumps/symptoms are easily explained, and are not anything serious. Testicular cancer is in fact uncommon.
