I started getting period symptoms (prolonged periods, bleeding between periods and severe pelvic pain) and I've called lots of doctors at my GP practice who didn't seem concerned. I've never been sexually active so no risk of infection/ pregnancy. One asked me why I'm worried and if I'm looking up stuff online and I got scared and said no.
But in the last month, I've lost almost a stone which is very weird because I haven't been trying to lose weight. I'm 6st 2ibs now and I just keep feeling so exhausted and freezing cold all the time. I was at uni but I've moved back home because I can't concentrate.
I mentioned this to a doctor and she got me to do blood tests. I then had a face to face appointment with my family doctor who told me all the blood tests were okay except my vitamin d levels low. She thinks it's a coincidence and said that sometimes things happen that we can't explain and that it's probably caused by stress. She didn't do any physical exams and I felt like it was a waste of time.
I then got a message yesterday to call the practice and they said it's to book a telephone appointment to discuss blood test results?!! I'm a bit confused and I feel like they've made a mistake. But I said yes as I would like to hear a different opinion and it's booked for Monday. It's going to be a different doctor, I really want something to be done because I'm so scared of my symptoms.
Any tips for the telephone appointment?
