  • Hello there

I am sorry to hear that the abnormal cells are still in the cervix and the treatment wasn't successful this time around. Unfortunately this can happen and usually more treatment is needed, often the LLETZ procedure or a cone biopsy.

    There is more information here.

Talk to your colposcopy team to find out exactly what will happen next, so cases are discussed in within a mdt (multi disciplinary team) where a team come together to discuss the management of individual patients.

Try not to worry or overly think things remember the screening programme is designed to prevent cancer and treat and monitor any abnormality until everything returns to normal.

    Wishing you all the best

    Naomi
