Sorry I looked!

Hi, I have looked at my notes and it is so confusing to the untrained eye. On the coding info headed 'Final' it says primary is EC as I knew, but Secondary says it is 'intrapelvic Lymph node unspecified malignant neoplasm'. On a coding sheet does that mean it's usually confirmed or maybe was suspected or considered.

I did NOT have any Lymph nodes taken at my hysterectomy and they are not mentioned on the pathology report, it just says not identifed. There was a question on MRI and CT but was discounted at the MDT meeting.

Appointment with doc soon but am interested to know what anyone thinks?

  • Hello and thanks for your post,

I am afraid that I think you are just going to have to wait until you see the doctors at your appointment for them to tell you what it all means.

It is very difficult without being involved in your care and to know what was discussed at the MDT to explain what it all means.

Even though it will be interesting hearing from other members of the forum every case is slightly different so it is difficult to compare your situation with others.

I do hope that you know more soon and in the meantime you are more then welcome to ring and speak to one of the helpline nurses.

We are here Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040.

    All the best,

    Catherine
