Right testicle pain

Hi

I have right testicle pain, it comes and goes during the day and is not that much of a bother but when i stand up it gives discomfort.

I have self examined my testicles and have found nothing no lumps or bumps.

Is there any reason I am getting this pain in my testicle as its been going on a few days now.

Thanks

  • As it's painful it could be an infection so l would contact your doctor, my husband had something similar, treated with antibiotics.

  • Hi Joe2 and thanks for posting.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some testicle pain that is concerning you.

I'm afraid as nurses working on a helpline we are unable to diagnose or say what the matter might be. We always suggest people arrange to speak to their own GP about any symptoms they may have.  They can see you face to face and assess you properly.

There is some information about testicular pain here. When someone can feels pain or a lump in the testicles ( and this can be anywhere in the sac itself) it doesn't automatically mean something sinister like cancer is going on, but it is good to get it checked out if it is worrying you.

If you feel you would like to talk this through with someone please get back to us.  You may find it useful to talk things through on our helpline.  The number Freephone 0808 800 4040, the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday and your call will be answered by a nurse.

I hope this information is helpful.

    Take Care

    Rachel
