Different clinics will have a different way to get back with results. I think most would want the patient to come back to the hospital to get results, whatever they are. Some might send a letter with the result and some might also telephone.  It could take 2 -3 weeks to get them, sometimes a bit longer.

It was okay to take the dressing off and if the steri strips are beginning to come away just leave them to come off too. I am sorry to hear you are a bit bruised that will get better. In the meantime if you need to take some over the counter painkillers do, especially at bedtime when it might be more uncomfortable.

Waiting for results can be really difficult, there is not much you can do but wait but perhaps also try and keep busy , keeping your mind off it all.
