I’ve had swollen submental and submandibular lymph nodes for 2 years. They’ve never changed and there pea sized and non tender. Could these just be permanently enlarged due to and old oral or dental infection?

Hello and thanks for your post,
This is something that is best answered by your GP who can make a clinical judgement based on your medical history.
Lymph nodes are commonly swollen because of an infection and then they disappear when an infection gets better. Some people have reactive lymph nodes which can remain swollen for many months but don't usually cause a problem.
If this is something that is causing you some concern then do chat this through with your GP and hopefully they will be able to reassure you.
All the Best,
Catherine
