Whilst it sounds like you may well have over done it the past few days it is best to get yourself checked out today.

Call the colposcopy department for advice but if you are unable to get through call NHS 111 for advice.

Hi Naomi,

Thankyou for your reply, as you advised I called the colposcopy department and a nurse there told me bleeding is normal for 4-6 weeks after and didn't seem concerned even though I said it was fresh bleeding, she just said as long as there's no bad smell it is normal. That was on 06/09, I spent the weekend in bed resting but I am still experiencing bright red bleeding and having a lot of cramping, would it be worth calling the colposcopy department again or shall I just wait it out? I don't want them to think I'm mithering but my mum keeps saying I should call them again?

Bleeding is common after a Lletz procedure as is cramping and you can read more about this on our website at this link. 

If you are still bleeding heavily by next week then do call the colposcopy clinic for further advice. Hopefully, they will be able to reassure you.
