When you had your procedure did the Endoscopy department give you a leaflet with a helpline number to call if concerned? If they did, then call it for advice. If not, then you have the option of calling 111 and asking to speak to a nurse for advice following a colonoscopy. 111 should be able to say whether and how soon you need to speak to a doctor. If you do need to contact GP, you tell them 111 say I need to be seen within X hours so there shouldn't be any argument about giving you an appointment. An advantage of calling 111 is that this should log things onto your health record (although there are some computer issues which have affected that recently). Another option is to call a nurse using the CRUK nurse helpline or a helpline for one of the charities that deal with bowel issues. Hope everything settles down. I think it might be helpful to ask for a bit of advice specific to your situation from a health professional as people on here won't know what other conditions you might have, which could impact on what you need to do. Take care.
