Hi l had ovarian cysts last year they were complex and 6 cm and 5 cm, they were removed after MRI, Ultrasounds,  Ct scans repeated bloods. They took multiple biopsies and removed extensive adhesions it took 41/2 hrs. My results were good and not cancerous fortunately.

I am afraid that until you have seen the gynaecologist on Sunday and you have perhaps had other tests no one can tell you any more. I can understand that it is unsettling waiting to hear but try if you can to not let your mind run away with you. There are other causes for cysts to occur other then cancer but of course this needs to be ruled out.

The gynaecologist will take in to account your age whether you have been through the menopause and the size and type of your cyst.

The CA125 test can rise for many different reasons including endometriosis, your period, ovarian cysts and sometimes ovarian cancer. This is why it can't accurately be used for a screening test for cancer.

It is good to hear that your appointment is soon and that the gynaecologist will be able to review your scans and work out what other tests you need.

Try to stay away from the internet which is so general and does not relate to each individual person. 

You may find it helpful to take someone to your appointment to hear what the doctor has to say as often there can be a lot of information to take on board.
