I am sorry to hear about your situation and I can appreciate your concern.

Many people are waiting longer to be seen by hospital specialists and to get their treatment at the moment in the NHS. However, it is likely that your individual case has been triaged (assessed), by the colposcopy team caring for you, and it was decided that a 12 week appointment is okay for you. Do bear in mind that your main treatment has already happened, and this is further planned follow up care. 

You might want to contact the colposcopy department about your appointment, and ask if you can go on a short notice cancellation phone list (if there is one), this might mean you are seen earlier, if someone else cancels.
