Hi, 

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice, I feel like i'm in a mix of emotions at the moment.

I am 30 (just) I found a lump in my breast on 9/8/22. My breast is hot and sore, my lump is 3x3 cms and moves.  There is a history of breast cancer in both sides of the family. The doctor has referred me for an emergency referral and told me if I haven't heard within 2 weeks to contact the booking centre. I have contacted the doctors and then booking centre as the 2 weeks is up and I feel quite anxious about missing the call for the appointment. To be told by the booking centre that they don't contact people within two weeks. The doctors have said due to my age that it will be 4 weeks+ as I am under 40. I explained that the doctor told me I would hear in two weeks. 

 

Sorry if i'm rambling, but can any body give me some advice? Or recommend some one to speak to as at the moment I am so scared and stressed while trying to make out to everyone I am fine when in reality I'm an emotional mess, i'm scared and I literally don't know where to turn.

    Hey Laraj, 

    Thank you, it honestly feels like a weight has been lifted, and now I can focus on getting to the appointment. 

    Do you have any advice for the appointment? I did ask if I needed to bring anything and she said no. I have an idea of what to expect from reading the forum. This site has been amazing and I have gained so much from it. but any advice would be great.

    my first appointment was a chat with consultant mammogram , as they saw something on mammogram I went to a different room where they did a biopsy and ultrasound it was all very quick within 40 mins .they told me there and then it looked suspicious and I would have to wait 7 days for biopsy results.

    im 48 I'm not sure if you are younger if they do mammograms or maybe just ultrasound .

    They are very good , I'm sure you will be so much happier once you have been got my fingers toes crossed for you that all will be ok for you xxx

    Aw ok, I'm not sure if they will do a mammogram because of my age but I am prepared sort of for what ever they have to do. I may just take some pain killers before hand as i've been having alot more pain in my breast recently. 

    Thank you that is putting my mind at ease, I think for me the hardest part has been waiting for an appointment especially being told all different information. Thank you. 

    My appointment is Monday 3rd October. 

    I have planned a long walk the day before so that I so tired that I will sleep. As I think I will most likely be very anxious about it the night before xx

    I'm sure you have prepared yourself all these weeks for the worst news but this could possibly not be anything serious there are lots of things other than BC that can cause lumps issues , I hope that all goes well for you on Monday please let us no how you get on .
