The vast majority of positive QFITs are not cancer. Only about one in ten of them are cancer. And your score isn't particularly high. The cut off for a positive reading is 10 and some people get scores in the 100s.
A positive test only tells you there is blood in your stool. That could be caused by lots of things. The most likely explanations are hemorrhoids or an anal fissure. Then there are polyps, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's, diverticulitis (which I can't spell), certain infections, etc.
The FIT test is designed to pick up hidden blood in your stool. There, can be lots of reasons for blood in the stool only one of which is cancer. Most people with a positive fit test turn out not to have cancer. Try not to worry too much, you are doing the right thing getting things checked out, but there is a very good chance that this will turn out not to be cancer.
