Long hard lumps

I have two long hard lumps which feel like bone on the sides of my head, from the temple to the middle of my head. It also feels like I've got another one next to the one on the right.

It feels like there is pressure in my head. They don't hurt all the times but sometimes my head hurts a lot and I feel like it effects my eyes.

My GP said they were fatty lumps. But I've read they're soft and mine are hard.

Any advice please

  • Hello HayleyM23 and thanks for posting,

I am sorry to learn that these lumps are troubling you.

I can't tell you what is causing these lumps, but lipomas (fatty lumps) are usually described as being soft and squishy, you may have read about them on the NHS website here.

Our usual advice when someone asks us about lumps and bumps is to see the GP to get checked out which you have already done. I think if you feel uneasy you need to go back and see the GP again or another GP at the same surgery, tell them what you have read and ask them to explain or if you need to have any tests.

I hope you can easily get an appointment to get this sorted out amd hopefully some peace of mind.

    Best wishes,

    Julia
