My friend in her 70's has been diagnosed with spleen cancer and there is nothing that can be done. She's currently in hospital on oxygen struggling to speak. How long do people normally last ? I've just been to see her shes so tired
It is very difficult to be very specific about your friend as I am not involved in her care. It may be that the cancer is in other parts of her body which is why they are not able to treat her.
It is really only her doctors who will be able to know more. Her doctors may be reluctant to give you this information if you are not a close family relative.
I can understand how frustrating this can be if you are keen to support her.
Perhaps if her relatives have more information they may be able to share this with you.
