How will I receive my colposcopy results

I had a colposcopy a few weeks ago and I was in a bit of a flap about the whole process so I have totally forgot what they have said about results and how and when I will receive them. Can somebody tell me what to expect, do I get a letter with results or another appointment to be told face to face?

    I am sorry to hear you are awaiting some results and appreciate this must be a worrying time for you

    Unfortunately no one here will be able to say for sure how you will receive your results as this can vary from hospital to hospital. As you say some may get a letter, others a phone call and some a face to face appointment. It would be best to call the colposcopy department to ask.

    I hope you know more soon and that everything will be okay for you.
