About a month ago my mum got diagnosed with breast caner, aggressive er+, and im looking for as much information as i can get on it, im only 16 and i would love to understand the situation a bit more.

My mum is late 40's and is trying to get into better shape, she found a few lumps in her breast and has recently had them removed. There was 2, small, lumps that have been taken out and she soon goes back for radio therepy, alothough they said there was nothing to worry about i think it would settle my nerves if i knew more on the topic.

  • Hello and thanks for your post

There are lots of treatment options for breast cancer and you can read more about this by clicking here

We have some information at this link about organisations that can help support your mum, as well as for you and any other people affected by her diagnosis.

You may find it helpful to look at the riprap website here . It's for young people whose parent has cancer. You can find out how other people cope . Sometimes, it helps just to know that other teenagers are going through a similar situation.

I hope this helps. Give us a ring if you want to talk things over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes,

    Celene
