I have this case I would ask for your kind help please, For more than 5 years I have had high triglycerides, in June of this year, I had a routine check-up to see my triglycerides value and in a blood count I got this:
hematocrit: 54.30 % (high) the maximum value for this range is 52 %
hemoglobin: 18.50 g/dl (high) the maximum value for this range is 17.50 g/dl
neutrophils: 2.10 x10^3/ul(low) the minimum value for this range is 2.25 ul
% neutrophils: 41.40% (low) the minimum value for this range is 50%
% lymphocytes: 43.50% (high) the maximum value for this range is 40 %
% eosinophils: 4.40%( (high) the maximum value for this range is 4%
Triglycerides: 330 mg/dl (high)
The rest of the stuff is in the ranges (rdw, Red blood cell count, Platelet count, etc) are ok
So, I was sent to a hepatologist, and I got exams to determine if I had hepatitis and no of the exams showed any for it (all of them are ok).
However, I also got exams for electrophoresis, immunoelectrophoresis and free light chains of lambda and kappa, and these are the results:
- electrophoresis:
Albumin: 53.3 % (low) the minimum value is: 54%
Gamma: 20.1% (high) the maximum value is19.2%
Gamma: 1.5 g/dl (over the limit) the maximum value is: 1.5 g/dl
the rest of % and g/dl values such as alpha 1, alpha 2, beta are ok
- free light chains of lambda and kappa:
kappa: 3.79 g/l (high) the maximum range of this is: 3.75 g/l
lambda: is ok
ratio kappa/lambda: 2.15 g/l (high) the maximum range of this is: 1.65 g/l
- immunoelectrophoresis: all values are ok
So to sum up, I am worried about high hematocrit, hemoglobin (blood count), gamma (electrophoresis) and ratio kappa/lambda (free light chains).
Can you help me please with this?
Thank you
