  • Hello and thanks for your post

Hopefully people will come along and share their experiences with you, as support like this can be invaluable. But it’s important to bear in mind that even if there are other people who have experienced similar things , I’m not sure that their experience will shed much light about what is going on with you.

Long term indigestion and heartburn are the most common symptoms of Barrett's oesophagus. Discomfort and pain can be felt in the breast/chest and stomach because of the indigestion. Some people may also experience difficulty in swallowing, but the majority of people affected by Barrett's will not experience this symptom. You can read more about Barrett's oesophagus on our website at this link.

The other symptoms you describe are not usually associated with Barrett's oesophagus  Most symptoms turn out to have straightforward explanations, and are usually not anything serious. But we always advise that you get checked out by your GP if they persist.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
