Womb cancer worry

Hi. Three years ago I had triple negative breast cancer. Last week I had an ultrasound and was referred to a gynecologist for further investigation. The waiting for an appointment is agonising.
Also I am a foster carer and my two boys are settled with me. I don't want to loose them as they will be moved to another carer if I am ill.

  • Hello Ruby786,

Waiting for appointments can be very hard on the nerves, but try and keep an open mind if you can.

I am not sure what prompted the need for further investigation, but it could be something like a thicker than usual womb lining which has to be properly assessed, if so, this is standard protocol and everything can turn out to be alight. But I understand that until it has been sorted out it is unsettling.

Try not to think ahead too much and take things one step at a time if you can.

Please give us a call if you want to talk anything over, our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are here from 9-5, weekdays,

    Best wishes,

    Julia
