2 lumps in right breast lower inner quadrant

Where do I start... I am a survivor of sarcoma of soft tissue behind my knee. 10 year review is in Feb then im discharged. I also had cin 3 in my cervix in 2014 and had this removed too.

This week I found 1 large marble sized lump where I put in the title...gp assessed me and found another smaller one just above it.

I've been referred to a 2 week wait although I'm going on holiday this next week ...

I'm going out of my mind and I'm already paranoid due to previous history. I'm 39 with two children and I'm so so scared.

Can anybody advise......

  • Hello there and thanks for the post

I appreciate finding some breast lumps can be a worry, especially after your previous history but unfortunately I don't think anyone can advise you here as to what this could be.

Breast lumps are common and most of the time the result of breast cysts or a build up of fatty tissue called fibroadenomas. However it is always best to get the checked out and a referral to the breast unit through the 2 week wait is usual, in this circumstance.

It is only going to be further tests such as ultrasound, mammogram and possibly some biopsies that will reveal for certain what this is.

As difficult as this may be try and not over think this until you have all the information. Keep yourself busy and try and enjoy your holiday if you can.

I don't know if you have already but it may be worth calling the unit and letting them know about your holiday so they can fit you in around this, they may even have a cancellation.

I really hope everything is okay for you and you know where we are if you need us.

    Take care

    Naomi
