Is my Mgus progressing?

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while, I have had some recent reults back and my mgus seems to be progressing i have IGA Kappa light chain and they have gone from 37 to 66 and they are re-testing my blood in about 5 weeks time. Weired thing is i feel okay in myself, apart from all my other problems, it makes it hard to tell which pain is from which illness. As with IGA Kappa light chain i don't have m protein or very low levels. I hoped i would make it past the 5 year mark from diagnosed, but my 5 year mark is next month, oh well that's life! I'm not sure what i want to ask, maybe what to expect if there even higher, what will happen a bone aspiration, scans, MRI. thanks all

    I am sorry you have mgus and that your levels seem to have increased from your last blood test. I appreciate this must be a worry but try and sit tight for now until the results are in as these levels can rise and fall from time to time for no particular reason.

    If in the case that the levels remain high or increasing further they may wish to run some more tests such as bone marrow and scans that you can read more about here.

    Try and hold on to the positives for now such as you are feeling generally well in yourself and keep yourself busy whilst you wait.
