Hi, just done a FIT test and was wondering if mucus in stool would affect the results?

It is unlikely it will affect the FIT test. This test looks for microscopic particles of blood and is a very sensitive test.
If any samples fail quality control, then the results would be inconclusive, and a repeat test sample would be requested.

Thanks for your responses. I'm unsure whether or not I should have done the test as I have piles and have heard this can affect results. Though they weren't bleeding when I took the test
