Lymph node and sweating

I have had a lymph node that is slightly larger and hard for a while now (first noticed it about (8-12 months ago). I spoke to my gp intitally and they said it was nothin to worry about and that it was probably just a reactive lymph node that wont go back to normal or takes time to. Fast forward to now and ive had what i think is night sweats for about two weeks now and i am slightly worried. However im not sure if it is night sweats for sure as it could be bevause of the suddenly very hot weather in the uk the last two weeks. Also this is the ifirst summer that i am using my new duvet which is quite large and heavy for a single bed. Finally ive had these nigth sweats for aboht 3 nights in two weeks and i normally wakeup in the middle of the night with my back and stomach area sweating and my bed being damp. I then wait for it to dry and then i go back to bed and i dont wakeup in the morning with more sweat  . Anyway i am just looking for some advice on whether this is night sweats or possibly just the heat? I have had blood tests taken today by a gp who ordered them after i told them my symptoms.

  • Hello and thank you for getting in touch, I am afraid I do not know what is causing your sweating, whether it is due to night sweats or just the heat.

But you have now been to the GP who has assessed you and taken bloods, so it will be a matter of waiting to see the results.

Waiting for any sort of results can be stressful, so good to keep yourself occupied, and stay off the internet if you can as can cause more worry.

Take care, and hopefully you will know more soon.

    Sarah.
