Bronchoscopy

Help I have been having scans for 3 years as I have a abnormal scan result and now they want to do a bronchoscopy I am absolutely terrified of the procedure and have declined it once last year but here we are again at the next follow up scan a year later with the same thing they do not know what it is so need to find out with a bronchoscopy she has given me time to think about it am I being an absolute wimp or not can anybody please assure me the other alternative is another scan in a year but that will be scan number 4 and we still won't know what it is the scan are showing such a slight change that it's not noticeable year on year but comparing back to 2019 it's is slightly more inflamed she said I have no cough etc anybody else been so terrified of agreeing to having this procedure??

    I don't think you are being a whimp, a lot of people fear having one type of medical procedure or another. Often, if the doctors know how scared someone is they can help to get them through it, so bear this in mind.
