  • Dear RedBourny,

Thanks so much for getting in touch and I'm sorry to hear that you have peripheral neuropathy.  We do have some information  about treatment and coping with this condition on our website which you may find useful.

Unfortunately there is no remedy to reverse chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy but time and the body's ability to mend itself usually helps,  these nerve changes often go within a few months of finishing treatment, but it may sometimes longer.

It is unusual for someone to have long term peripheral neuropathy.  You may find it useful to discuss your symptoms with the team who have been caring for you, who can recommend treatments if the symptoms continue.

I hope this is helpful.  If you want to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline you can call Freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes

    Rachel
