Symptom Query

Hello

Last Wednesday night I noticed that my right breast was a strange shape.

The outer lower part looked flat rather than rounded and when viewed from the side there was a dent about the size of a 20p which was a slightly darker colour.

I saw my GP on Monday and she said she could see the dent and after examination thought she could feel a lump under the dent but my underarm seemed normal.

However, I am now experiencing pains which run up the right side of my neck and a burning sensation around my right collar bone.

Both symptoms come and go and I am not sure if am imagining them (possibly because I have read too much on line).

Can these symptoms be caused by a cyst, stress or an infection?

I hope this has been of some help. Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I guess I was just looking for some reassurance that its not necessarily cancer.
