Hi
Since having 4 weekly treatments of Rituximab for DLBCL PTLD , my husband is suffering from lower back pain.
I thought I read somewhere that this is bad but cannot find where I read it. Please can you reassure me that this isn't so.
Many thanks

Hello and thank you for your post,
You can get back pain caused by rituximab, you can see more about the side effects of it on our website here
Also, developing a side effect of any treatment is not an indication that the treatment is not working.
I think your husband should let his treatment team or specialist cancer nurse about his pain. Remember back pain is common so it may not be related to his cancer or treatment but do get it checked out to be on the safe side.
Take care,
Caroline
