Does anyone know if you can drink lemon juice with taking tamoxifen. I know it mentions citrus fruits are not good ie tangerines and oranges but wanted to check out lemons were OK. 5 years for tamoxifen for breast cancer one year down 4 to go.
I think you may have seen that grapefruit and tangerines could interfere with how some medication work. However, it does not seem to be the case with tamoxifen or with eating lemons while taking tamoxifen. I have checked this out and cannot see a link.
It might be a good idea to be absolutely sure to check this out with your breast care nurse, and read the patient information leaflet found in your box of tamoxifen as if it were the case it would be mentioned in that.
