You should always contact your cancer team or the cancer helpline if you encounter any "quirky" or concerning symptoms. Don't just assume things are normal if you weren't warned about them or put up with these symptoms. After all, it's your health.

I take it you were given a wee card with the helpline number? We found them to be really good. At least up here in Scotland.

It should resolve, you can apply a cold pack, (or bag of frozen peas in a towel), over the area for 10 mins at a time, as this might help with some local inflammation.

Do ring your hospital chemotherapy team for further advice, as this is most appropriate, rather than ask on a forum. You should have been given a contact card for the department. They can advise you further.

Finally what helped? My husband has had his first capox today and is experiencing the same issues.

It is always best in situations like this if you call the chemotherapy unit where he is being treated for advice.
