Hello Freya and thanks for posting,
I can appreciate that your husband's diagnosis is a concern even though he seems to be physically active and getting on alright with his treatment. I think any cancer diagnosis inevitably causes stress and uncertainty which a lot of people find challenging to cope with. I don't think there is a right way to handle this, but taking things one step at a time, although a simple idea can be useful. For now, your husband seems to be able to tolerate the treatment well which is a good thing and hopefully his doctors will be happy with the outcome.
If you haven't already found out about them, another charity Myeloma UK, provides information and offers support to people with myeloma and their families. This link takes you to their website if you want to see what they offer.
Give us a ring if you want to talk anything over. Our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are here weekdays 9-5.
Wishing you the best,
Julia
