Mammogram recall

Just extremely anxious and putting it out here might make me feel better? Not sure 

 

my mum went for her first routine mammogram 2 weeks ago and today got a letter being re called for Wednesday morning , letter just says X-rays were examined and are unclear and need further testing. 
i suffer from anxiety and health anxiety especially about others and I am going out of my mind with worry about why they need her back in

    About 4 in every 100 women get called back for a repeat mammogram screening, especially if it is their first one. This can be for many different reasons but mainly to ensure they have fully clearly seen everything within the breast tissues. Of those that are called back very few have a cancer diagnosis, but I can understand with your history why this has caused you some anxiety.

    Do take care, and hopefully your mum gets sorted soon, and if you need support with your anxiety this is quite good.

    Thanks :( she got a call today to confirm appt and when she asked why she was recalled they just said there's an area that needs another look at. Even more worried now that I know it's probably not a technical thing :(
