  • Hello Chowie and thanks for posting,

I am sorry to learn about the pain you are experiencing and can appreciatte the impact it is having.

In answer to your question, ovarian cysts are sometimes removed in the NHS for example if they look suspicious or are large and causing a lot of problems, but they aren't usually removed without a reason and would need to be assessed first.

I assume your doctors know about the pain and bleeding and are looking into it, but I am not sure if they think the cyst is the cause. Do talk things over with them, let them know how you feel and ask what you can take for this pain so that you are more comfortable.

I hope you get some answers soon and that things improve for you.

Give us a call if you want to talk anything over. Our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are around weekdays, 9-5.
