Ovarian cyst

Hey, just looking for advice. Went for a USS last week as been having abdominal bloating. A cyst was found on my ovary. The Lady who carrried out the ultrasound said I need to be seen urgently and the next day my GP called to say I have been referred on the cancer pathway to see a Gynaecologist Oncologist for further investigations. I have had a cyst before but I was just scanned 3 months later and it had gone. Just wondering if something of concern was seen this time hence the referral? As nothing like this happened before.

    My ovarian cysts were removed last year by the gynaecology oncology surgeon, they were removed due to their size and that they were complex/ solid. Yours could be the same. Fortunately they were benign but the took multiple biopsies during the surgery. 
    l hope all is well when you are seen by the gynaecology oncology team.
