I'm sorry we didn't get to reply to you before you went to your hospital appointment yesterday. We were closed for the Jubilee Bank Holidays and had a backlog of enquiries on our return yesterday that we are currently working through.

I presume you might know a little more about your situation after your hospital appointment. Post menopausal bleeding can have a range of different causes and most won't be linked to a cancer but the important thing is that it is being looked into. As well as a thickened uterine lining being a possible cause other things like polyps in the cervix, fibroids or thinning or inflammation in the vagina can also cause bleeding. If necessary, the doctors  will carry out more tests to find out what may be going on.
