Worried about my son

Hello,

Just looking a little advice or guidance from anyone who's maybe experienced the same as ourselves.

Our 7 year old son has been quiet poorly lately, always catching "viral infections", VD and we've noticed he's lost abit of weight.
Tonight when I've went in to check on him I noticed his vein pulsating out of his neck on the right side, not alot but enough for me to notice. Then I noticed a lump just abit further behind it. It moves slightly and it's abit hard, Im unsure if I should contact my out of hours GP as our doctors aren't open again until Monday/Tuesday for the bank holiday.

any advice welcome

Hello JGJG, sorry to hear your son is poorly, I think that for your own peace of mind you should probably contact your out of hours GP. That's what I would do anyway, hope your son gets well soon, take care, Violet, x

I know I've done this but haven't heard anything from them yet. Ended up phoning my cousin who's a peads nurse and she said best to bring him to a&e and get him checked over.

Hello JGJG_2020 and thanks for posting,
I am sorry we weren't around to reply to you on Friday (we don't work weekends or Bank Holidays) but I am glad you were able to speak to your cousin. Since you posted, I hope that you have been able to get some medical advice about your son's symptoms and that everything is ok.
