I am sorry to hear you have been having some tests that have found what seems to be a dermoid cyst.

Cysts are very common and most are harmless. Depending on the type and size of a cyst they may have to be removed just to be on the safe side, which seems to be the case for you. You can read more about cysts here.

I appreciate experiencing any irregular bleeding or ongoing symptoms can be a worry but the important thing is you have had some tests and the doctor isn't overly concerned that this is sinister and that they are going to remove the cyst.

Cysts can cause bleeding so this could be the cause of your symptoms but of course do mention this to the doctor when you next see them.

In the meantime if symptoms are wostening do let your GP know.
